In the initial planning designs, his handpaws were all charcoal gray, with white fingers, orange claws and red paw pads.
The final product is charcoal gray fading into silver on the back and charcoal fading into black on the bottom, the claws have been omitted, and the paw pads have changed to mango orange.
The footpaws were going to be all charcoal gray with white toes, orange claws and red paw pads...
...but my brain looked at the design and didn't like the abrupt transition from black to charcoal...so now they're predominantly black, with an orange spot at the "heel" and charcoal down the back, with the front fading from black to charcoal to silver before transitioning to white in the toes, the paw pads were changed to orange, and the claws were once again omitted.
The tail was supposed to be a "simple" charcoal over black with white "vertebrae" markings.
The finished product adds an orange mane and a pop of silver at the tip where it transitions from charcoal to black.
...yeah...my brain likes to make things more complicated than they need to be for the sake of "I think this might look cool".ย
